about. Rhea

(ray)
Growing up in the rain-drenched Pacific Northwest, Rhea spent her childhood crafting circle stories with friends and waging stick-sword battles in the woods. She devoured whimsical tales, love stories with teeth, and impossible adventures.
Today, Rhea writes across multiple sub genres of fantasy, from gothic speculative fiction and classic romantasy to dark fantasies. She has a deep appreciation for complex characters and likes her stories the same way she likes her love interests—morally gray.
Publishing independently has allowed Rhea to build her career one reader at a time. Her debut novel, The Magnificence of Death, found an enthusiastic readership, and she continues to create imaginative worlds for a growing community of readers.
When she isn’t writing, she’s keeping up with two wonderful children, negotiating with her aging—but endlessly energetic—dog, Willa, and plotting the end of her husband’s winning streak at Sequence.
